Glamping Adventure Elopement in Kanab & Page Arizona

Daniel & Caroline

Elopements are no longer just about a simple exchange of vows—they’re about crafting once-in-a-lifetime experiences in breathtaking landscapes. Daniel & Caroline’s adventure elopement took them through Kanab, Cave Lakes, the Great Chamber, Buckskin Gulch, and Under Canvas Lake Powell, culminating in an unforgettable vow exchange at Horseshoe Bend.

Day 1: Arrival in Kanab & Horseback Adventure at Cave Lakes

We met up with Daniel & Caroline at Cave Lakes Canyon Ranch, where their adventure kicked off with a thrilling horseback ride deep into the canyon. As they rode through the desert terrain, they were introduced to the natural cave springs and towering rock formations that make this property one of Kanab’s best-kept secrets.

Their horseback ride was filled with stunning photo ops, sweeping canyon views, and a few heart-racing moments as they navigated rugged terrain. If time allows, an afternoon paddleboarding session at Cave Lakes’ serene ponds is a perfect way to cool off before checking into their luxury glamping suite.

ATV Adventure to the Great Chamber at Sunset

After freshening up, Daniel & Caroline set out on an off-road adventure with ROAM Adventure Co. to visit one of the most jaw-dropping locations in Utah—the Great Chamber.

Why sunset? The way the golden light floods into the massive sand cave is pure magic. The drive is dusty and long, but absolutely worth every second.

Returning to Kanab, the couple celebrated their first night with an elegant dinner at Sego, a restaurant run by a world-renowned chef and a true hidden gem of the desert.

Want to explore more? Kanab is surrounded by epic landscapes, including Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Peek-A-Boo Slot Canyon, and the East Entrance to Zion National Park.

Day 2: Sunrise Elopement in Grand Staircase-Escalante

We met Daniel & Caroline before sunrise as they prepared for their intimate ceremony in Grand Staircase-Escalante. The anticipation was palpable—after traveling all the way from South America, this moment had to be perfect.

The ceremony, officiated by our good friends at Outland Adventures (Thomas is the best in the biz!), took place in a secluded canyon with towering rock walls and golden morning light painting the landscape. Raw, emotional, and truly unforgettable.

After capturing some beautiful post-ceremony portraits, the couple changed into adventure gear and set off for a hike through Buckskin Gulch—one of the longest and most stunning slot canyons in the world.

📍 Buckskin Gulch: This legendary slot canyon spans over 12 miles and features towering, wave-like sandstone walls. It’s an absolute must for adventure elopements!

Checking into Under Canvas Lake Powell

That afternoon, we arrived at Under Canvas Lake Powell, a luxury desert retreat offering incredible accommodations, on-site dining, and panoramic views of the surrounding mesas.

After a well-deserved shower and some relaxation, we took advantage of the dreamy glamping setting for golden-hour portraits before setting out for their next adventure—vow exchange at Horseshoe Bend.

Sunset Vows at Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend is one of the most iconic locations in the Southwest, but it’s always packed with visitors. To find a private spot, we hiked further along the rim, ensuring zero distractions for Daniel & Caroline’s intimate vow exchange.

The weight of the moment was immense—laughter, tears, and a lifetime commitment sealed in the middle of one of Earth’s most awe-inspiring landscapes.

Behind the scenes: Shooting this solo was no joke! Hauling all the gear for both photo and video coverage while ensuring every shot captured the magic of the moment was a challenge—but one that made this elopement even more special.

After the vows, they returned to Under Canvas Lake Powell to celebrate their first night as a married couple under the stars.

Final Day: A Scenic Send-Off

The next morning, Daniel & Caroline packed up and headed to Las Vegas to fly home—but not before making a few iconic stops:

  • Valley of Fire State Park: A jaw-dropping landscape perfect for a few last adventure shots.

  • St. George for a Swig: If you’ve never had one, you’re missing out!

Daniel & Caroline’s glamping adventure elopement was the perfect blend of romance, thrill, and natural beauty. From horseback rides through Cave Lakes Canyon Ranch to an unforgettable sunset vow exchange at Horseshoe Bend, every moment was a reflection of their love for exploration and each other. Their journey across Utah’s stunning landscapes—Kanab, the Great Chamber, Buckskin Gulch, and Lake Powell—proved that elopements aren’t just about saying “I do,” but about crafting an experience that tells your unique love story.

If you’re dreaming of your own glamping adventure elopement, take this as your sign to follow the road less traveled—because the most breathtaking moments often come from stepping off the beaten path. You can explore also our adventure elopement & wedding portfolio.
